Walking the talk...

I had a rant planned about this very pretty girl I was sitting behind on the bus to work today. The rough wind though the windows, streaming through her wet hair, ushered in some sort of divine fragrance into the bus. I just sat there, behind her, wondering... I can’t seem to write about it, without sounding extremely desperate. I am not a poet. I think I shall leave that fragrant memory as it is. A fragrance.

I had a rant planned about Madras. About how much I love the place. About how much I miss the place. Was almost about to write about it, when I realized that’s its not as much Madras as I miss, as it is the people I knew when I was in Madras.

I have about 10 saved drafts in Blogger, but I don’t feel like working on any of them right now. Even more ideas in my little blogpost scratch pad.

In the end, just like this work week, it’s a case of thinking too much and doing very little.

A non-poetic, mis-informed, procrastinating, over-analyzer. Yep, that about sums it up.

Have a great weekend, y'all.

I'm first! I'm first! *raising her hands in victory*

I remember sitting behind a boy who I had a crush on in high school. I would try to will him to turn around and ask me out (sort of like vulcan mind control)but alas he never did.

Happy Weekend!

Hey pal!
Dont worry too much about the procrastination and the over-analyzing. Each one of us goes through such patches... and not just once, but many times. You just need to cheer up! Why don't you just have a coupla cold beers? I swear, it helps! ;-)

And hey! I thought your experience on the bus was kinda "almost-romantic"... Not able to express it. :-D

MC: Are you saying that this girl might actually... do you think I should... do you... ?!?!

Grrl: This was one smart man... remind me to carry a hanky with my next time !!!

Shrutz: What would you do in a prozac deprived world ?! What would we do for that matter ? ;)

A: Yup ! Big weekend, first performance. Got great reviews so far.. so am not too worried !!

Mandy: Thanks man ! That beer idea sure sounds great, expecially after 6 hour rehearsals and getting back home at 1:30AM !! I wasn't able to express it either, so thats why I decided to leave it at that !!

Grown men ride buses in the real world?

I thought that was just a phase us students have to go through.

I used to ride this bus from college to civilization, 13 kms away, and back, and the best memories I've had of those times revolve around the nights I've missed the last bus and had to hitch rides on trucks, or better, walk. No ladies around, though. Usually was with bunch of friends - uncouth junta like self.

All that has changed with the years is the mode of transport. The friends and self remain as uncouth as ever.

Ah love is in the air and all of that, never mind that she has been bottled away as a fragrance! Wonder if there is a 'her' side to the story...

The only things you will regret are the ones you don't do, Vignesh. If I were you, I would at least chat up the pretty girl. Who knows, you may end up with one more good friend, if nothing else...

Sen: I have hitched rides from almost every imaginable means of transportation to get from college back home... my fav was the flatbed trucks though ;)

Soups: Are you insinuating that I smell ?!?! ;) I haven't bottled her away as a fragrance... its just the memory. She is still a very real woman to me :)

Shrutzzzzz: Yes, you probably started early. Much like with everything else ;)

eM: If by having fun times with pretty girls, you mean sitting behind them, wondering how to strike up a conversation for two days in a row, then yes, I am.

K: It was brilliant. More about it in a proper post ;)

Anurag: yup, have promised myself. If I ever spot her on the bus again, will definitely talk to her. Fer sure !! ;)
